NSG conducts security drill at Kolkata Kalighat Temple

The National Security Guard has started a special security assessment drill at the famous Kalighat Temple in Kolkata. The four-day special operation will continue until August 27, 2026.

Special NSG Team Deployed

A special team consisting of one officer, two assistant commanders, and ten commandos arrived at the temple premises. The team is reviewing various aspects of temple security.

Focus on Emergency Preparedness

The operation aims to check entry and exit systems and assess potential security challenges. The process helps improve emergency response readiness.

Coordination with Local Police

Kolkata Police, the Special Task Force, and the Kolkata Commando Unit are working together with the NSG. Various security agencies are coordinating to review the overall safety of the temple.
