No Eligible Women Left Out Of Annapurna Scheme

West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari assured that no eligible woman will be left out of the monthly financial assistance of three thousand rupees under the Annapurna scheme. Speaking at a program for beneficiaries at Subhash Udyan in Bhowanipore on Saturday, he stated that approved names will receive the money in their bank accounts every month during the second week.
Details On Beneficiaries And Protests
Over fourteen thousand five hundred women in his assembly constituency received benefits under the scheme this month, while the department noted that about two thousand five hundred more names are approved. This assurance comes after protests and roadblocks occurred in several areas of the state because people did not receive their funds.
Annapurna Diwas Announcement
The Chief Minister announced that Annapurna Diwas will be celebrated across the state on September seventeen, which is also Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. An event will be organized in Kolkata with one lakh women beneficiaries of the Annapurna scheme to celebrate the birthday.
