Nalbari Police Launch Major Security Drive for Public Safety

Nalbari Police have increased daily security operations and vehicle checks at all police stations and outposts across the district to improve public safety. These security measures have been strengthened ahead of India Independence Day to prevent illegal activities and maintain order in the region. Security personnel are now stationed at major road intersections, highway checkpoints, and town entry points to conduct regular vehicle inspections, document checks, and alcohol testing.
Focus on Road Safety and Traffic Laws
This increased vigilance is designed to stop the movement of illegal goods and ensure that drivers follow motor vehicle regulations. Officers are checking for valid driving licenses, the use of helmets and seatbelts, and instances of overspeeding. These efforts are part of a consistent focus on road safety and traffic enforcement following recent public concerns regarding vehicle incidents in the area.
Recent Successes in Crime Prevention
Local police forces have reported several successful operations as part of this ongoing initiative. On August 1, 2026, the Mukalmua Police broke up a network involved in illegal gambling and unauthorized financial dealings. Additionally, on August 3, 2026, the Adabari Police Outpost carried out an enforcement drive in Chotaimari Village. During this operation, police destroyed 20 liters of illicit liquor and seized 70 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor.
Commitment to Law and Order
District authorities state that these frequent security checks are essential for keeping the peace and building trust with the public. The measures are intended to encourage responsible driving habits and ensure safer roads for all residents. These actions are currently aligned with the broader safety objectives of the Assam Police to protect communities throughout the district.
