Murshidabad Police Seize 10 Illegal Guns And Ammunition

Police in Murshidabad district seized a large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition during raids in two separate areas. The operations were conducted by the police in the Berhampore and Shaktipur police station areas, resulting in the recovery of 10 firearms, 11 magazines, and 226 rounds of live cartridges along with the arrest of three people.

Berhampore Raid Results

Based on secret information, the Berhampore police station team conducted a raid and searched a house. Following questioning of youth Trinamool Congress leader Papai Ghosh, police searched his home and recovered seven illegal firearms, five magazines, and 186 rounds of live ammunition.

Shaktipur Seizure Details

In a separate operation in the Shaktipur area, police arrested three people with illegal weapons. Authorities recovered three firearms, six magazines, and 40 rounds of live cartridges from the suspects, who preliminary investigations show brought the weapons from Munger in Bihar.
