Matigara Police Return 42 Lost and Stolen Mobile Phones

Matigara police in Siliguri have successfully recovered 42 mobile phones that were either lost or stolen and returned them to their rightful owners. This effort comes after the police received multiple reports from various areas under the Matigara police station jurisdiction regarding missing devices.

Police Investigation and Recovery Process

Following the reports, local authorities launched an investigation to track the missing devices. The police utilized technical tracking methods and other investigative procedures to locate the phones. Through consistent efforts, the team managed to identify and seize 42 mobile phones that had been reported missing or stolen over a period of time. According to the report by Hindusthan Samachar, the police confirmed that they work continuously to trace such devices once a formal complaint is registered.

Returning Devices to Owners

On Wednesday, the Matigara police station completed the necessary legal formalities required for the handover process. The recovered mobile phones were officially returned to their original owners during this event. Many of the recipients had been waiting for a long time to get their devices back and expressed relief upon receiving them.
