A massive fire broke out early Monday morning at a car service center located near Jessore Road in Birati, North 24 Parganas, creating panic in the area. The incident took place at around 4:30 am when flames were first seen rising from the service center, quickly spreading to engulf the entire property due to the presence of vehicles and flammable materials.
Eight fire engines rushed to the spot after receiving information and successfully brought the flames under control. Authorities confirmed that no injuries have been reported so far, while cooling operations by firefighting teams are currently underway at the site.
The official cause of the fire is yet to be determined, with short circuit and other potential factors currently under investigation. Authorities are also assessing the total financial loss and the exact number of vehicles damaged inside the service center.
