Maples Academy in Deoband celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event featured flag hoisting, cultural performances, and messages on student responsibility.

Flag Hoisting and Cultural Performances

The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony performed by the chief guests, the management committee, and the school principal. Students and staff sang the national anthem together to salute the tricolor flag. Under the guidance of music teacher Suhel, students performed patriotic songs, while Class 12 students demonstrated yoga to promote health. Additionally, students showcased self-defense techniques through martial arts led by karate coach Dushyant.

Speeches and Cultural Displays

The cultural program included various performances such as dances, songs, and speeches that highlighted India's culture, unity, and diversity. A school driver also participated by singing a song dedicated to the children. Guest of honor Preet Mohan from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad praised the school for providing students with education focused on self-reliance and discipline.

Principal Message on Digital Responsibility

School Principal Dr. Chitra Joshi addressed the students and urged them to draw inspiration from the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. She emphasized the importance of performing duties honestly. She specifically advised students to use digital platforms responsibly, warning them not to engage with social media posts without verifying their truth and utility. The event concluded with students chanting patriotic slogans, and the entire school campus was decorated in the colors of the national flag.
