Normal life stopped across Manipur on Tuesday due to a statewide shutdown called by local groups. The protest happened after an attack in the Khongbal Tangkhul area killed three people and injured several others.
Shops, markets, banks, and schools remained closed in both hill and valley districts.
Public and private transport services were suspended, leaving major roads deserted except for essential and police vehicles.
Essential services like medical care and water supply were kept open during the shutdown.
Security forces were deployed at strategic locations across the state, and no violence was reported during the protest.
