Manipur shares a 398-kilometer international border with Myanmar. Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh reported that piers for another 80 kilometers are also built. Security Measures and Local Updates

The Free Movement Regime was ended in 2024, limiting border crossings to 43 designated points for pass holders. Drug trafficking and arms smuggling remain key concerns for border management in the region. MLA Rajkumar Imo Singh asked the Governor to start Operation Manipur to recover illegal weapons. Furthermore, Chief Minister Singh announced that 143 strategic locations are added to the Vibrant Villages Programme-II to improve regional security and infrastructure.
