Manipur CM Honors Boxer M Jadumani Singh for Silver Medal

Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh officially welcomed and honored Indian boxer M. Jadumani Singh after his silver-medal win in the 55kg category at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The 22-year-old athlete received recognition from the state government for his performance in the international sports event.

Government Recognition for Athletic Achievement

During the welcome ceremony, the Chief Minister recognized M. Jadumani Singh for his recent success on the global stage. The Chief Minister described the athlete as a proud representative of Iroishemba and noted that his hard work serves as an example for young people in Manipur and across India. The government acknowledged the dedication and perseverance shown by the boxer during his training and competition.

Performance at the Commonwealth Games

Jadumani Singh competed in the men's 55kg boxing division during his debut at the Commonwealth Games. Throughout the tournament, he defeated opponents from Scotland, Pakistan, Zambia, and Namibia with 5-0 unanimous decisions. The athlete reached the final round where he competed against Jye Dixon from Australia and secured the silver medal for India.
