Manipur CM gives pregnant heifers to SC farmers

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh distributed pregnant heifers to Scheduled Caste farmers in Imphal. The event took place at the Farmer’s Training Hall in the Sanjenthong Veterinary Complex located in Imphal East.

Details of the Distribution

The Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services organised this programme. A total of 31 pregnant heifers were given to beneficiaries from four districts which are Imphal East, Imphal West, Kakching, and Thoubal.

Aim of the Project

The project is sponsored by the North Eastern Council to boost dairy production. The state government aims to improve the socio-economic condition of farmers and enhance milk production in Manipur.
