A tragic road accident in Lataguri near the Gorumara forest resulted in the death of one woman and left three other people seriously injured on Wednesday morning. Local sources reported that four people were traveling in a small car when the incident occurred.
The driver lost control of the vehicle while passing through the forest area, causing the car to crash directly into a roadside tree. The impact of the collision left the vehicle severely damaged.
Matelli police and traffic police reached the accident site immediately to start rescue operations and pulled the trapped victims from the car. All four individuals were rushed to the Mangalabari Rural Hospital in Chalsa, where doctors declared the woman dead.
The three critically injured people were given first aid and later referred to the Malbazar Super Specialty Hospital for advanced treatment. Police have started an investigation into the matter, while the identities of the deceased woman and the injured victims remain unknown.
