Kurseong St Philomena School Team Wins Runner Up in Football

The St Philomena Girls Higher Secondary School team from Kurseong secured the runner-up position at the 65th Inter-School Pre-Subroto Cup State-Level Football Tournament 2026. The final match of this prestigious competition was held at the IB Ground in Kolkata. The school team finished as the tournament runner-up after a hard-fought final match. Throughout the entire tournament, the team displayed impressive skills that earned them praise from spectators and football enthusiasts alike.

Future Qualification for State Championship

Following their strong performance in the state-level tournament, the Kurseong under-17 girls team has achieved a significant milestone. The team has earned the right to play directly from the quarter-finals in the 66th Subroto Cup State Championship scheduled for next year. This achievement has helped establish Kurseong as one of the prominent football districts in West Bengal.
