Kolkata to Host Know Your Territorial Army Seminar Soon

The Indian Territorial Army is organizing a two-day seminar titled Know Your Territorial Army in Kolkata on August 27 and 28. The event aims to bridge the gap between citizens and the armed forces, and it will be held at the Dhanadhanyo Auditorium in New Alipore.

Event Details and Participants

Students, educators, industry leaders, startup entrepreneurs, environmentalists, and civil society members will participate in this seminar. The event will focus on the civil-military model of the Territorial Army and its growing role in nation-building. Discussions will cover national security requirements and the integration of civilian expertise into military operations.

Agenda for the Two-Day Seminar

The first day will feature discussions on the changing role of the Territorial Army in nation-building and its responsibilities beyond the battlefield. Activities include the screening of a film, an exhibition of industrial and cultural stalls, and the signing of memorandums of understanding. The second day will cover topics such as environmental conservation, sustainable development, future innovations, and recruitment strategies. Retired Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor will deliver the keynote address on the future vision of the Territorial Army.

The primary goal of the seminar is to inform citizens from various professional fields about opportunities to contribute to national service.
