Jeep safaris commenced on the opening day, while
elephant safaris are expected to resume in the coming 10 to 20 days subject to the completion of necessary preparations. The Minister expressed hope that tourist arrivals would surpass last season's figures, citing encouraging booking trends.
The Minister highlighted that the departments are exploring opportunities to develop new tourism circuits connecting Kaziranga with nearby destinations.
Wildlife conservation remains a key factor behind the park's tourism appeal, with the one-horned rhinoceros as a major attraction. The decline in rhino poaching is attributed to initiatives undertaken by the Assam Government, strengthening the park's reputation as a top wildlife destination.
