Jalpaiguri TMC Leader Oil Mill Sealed By Administration

The administration sealed the oil mill of a Trinamool Congress leader in Jalpaiguri due to document issues.

The oil mill belonging to former TMC councillor Subrata Rai was sealed by the administration after alleged discrepancies were found in its documents. Municipal administrator and Sadar BDO Moeem Ahmed issued the closure order on Wednesday. Following this order, police and administration officials reached the mill premises late Thursday night to shut it down. The main gate of the mill was locked and sealed by the officials.

Family Claims And Administration Stance

Subrata Rai's family claimed that they had already applied for the oil mill license. According to the family, the administration took this action while the license process was still ongoing. The administration stated that the oil mill was ordered to close solely due to discrepancies found in the documents.
