Jalpaiguri Faces Severe Waterlogging After Heavy Rainfall

Heavy rainfall caused significant waterlogging in various parts of Jalpaiguri on Wednesday evening. The downpour affected several low-lying urban areas and residential neighborhoods, leading to traffic disruptions across the city. Main roads and ground-floor properties were flooded as the continuous rain overwhelmed local drainage systems. Rivers in the district, including the Teesta and Karala, remain near critical levels due to the ongoing wet weather.
