ISRO to Build Space Radar in Assam for Tracking Objects

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the foundation stone laying for a new ISRO facility near Guwahati. The Indian Space Research Organisation is building an Advanced Radar Research Centre at Chandrapur as part of its ongoing space tracking initiatives.

Project NETRA and Space Tracking

The new facility is being set up under ISRO's Project NETRA. This network is designed for space object tracking and analysis to help protect India's vital space assets and monitor activities in orbit.

Major Power Project in Dhubri

Chief Minister Sarma also laid the foundation stone for a large power project in the Dhubri district. The Adani Power Limited thermal power project at Chapar is estimated to cost around Rs 48,000 crore and will create thousands of jobs during construction and operation.
