Imphal West Court Sends Two Suspects To Police Custody
The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Imphal West has remanded two suspects to extended police custody for a daylight murder. Two suspects are in police custody following a fatal attack on a man from Assam in Imphal West.

The court extended the police custody of 60-year-old Yendrembam Paona Singh and 39-year-old Laishram Ngongo Meitei. The pair are accused of murdering a resident from Assam outside an Axis Bank branch in Thangal Bazar, Imphal West. The victim hailed from Borojalenga village in the Cachar district of Assam and was killed in a commercial market lane.

According to investigators, the primary accused confessed to orchestrating the attack stemming from a dispute involving illicit regional contraband trade. Law enforcement authorities have successfully seized blood-stained clothing and a two-wheeler used during the incident. Search operations remain ongoing as teams work to retrieve the murder weapon.
