IIT Delhi Hosts 2nd CSR Conclave to Boost Healthcare Tech
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi organized its 2nd CSR Conclave focusing on "Emerging Healthcare Technologies & PSU Summit". The event brought together over 150 leaders from industry, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), CSR foundations, and government bodies to promote indigenous healthcare innovations.
MedTech Innovations Showcased
During the session, faculty members presented groundbreaking research in biomedical engineering, biological sciences, and artificial intelligence. The innovations focused on affordable and scalable solutions, including Raman spectroscopy for cancer detection, a miniaturized colposcope for cervical cancer screening, and wearable robotic exoskeletons for mobility.
Industry Experts Panel
A high-level panel discussion featured experts from the Gates Foundation, GE HealthCare, Wadhwani Innovation Network, L&T Technology Services Ltd, and Tata 1mg. They discussed how to move laboratory research to the market, regulatory pathways, and the importance of CSR funding for early-stage MedTech innovations.
Strategic Partnerships and PSU Summit
Toko Tatung, Member of the Legislative Assembly from Arunachal Pradesh, attended as the Chief Guest and launched the institute's 'Partnership Booklet' and 'Infrastructure Compendium'. The summit resulted in several strategic collaborations, including a Letter of Intent (LoI) between IIT Delhi and the Keyi Panyor Mission Plan 2040, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, for research and capacity building. Additionally, a Letter of Intent was signed with the HS Foundation and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vionix Biosciences for healthcare solutions.
