The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs will meet on September 23 to discuss crimes against children and central schemes in the Northeast. The meeting will take place at the Parliament House complex in New Delhi. It will be held in two separate sessions.
The first session will start at 11 am to discuss crimes against children with the Ministry of Law and Justice. The second session will start at 2 pm to discuss the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in northeastern states with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. Officials from both ministries will attend the meeting to brief the committee.
The 31-member committee is chaired by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agarwal. The panel includes 21 members from the Lok Sabha and 10 members from the Rajya Sabha. Agenda papers have already been shared with all members.
