Police Seize Heroin Worth Over One Crore in Murshidabad

Police in Murshidabad arrested three men and seized a large quantity of heroin in Raghunathganj. The seized drugs weigh approximately 3 kilograms and 481 grams, with an estimated international market value exceeding 1.5 crore rupees.

Details of the Operation

On Monday night, police received information about three men traveling on a motorcycle from the Lalgola area towards Suti. The Raghunathganj police station team increased surveillance on National Highway 12. Near Ghodshala More, officers spotted the suspicious motorcycle and intercepted it. During the search, police found packets of heroin inside a cement bag carried by the suspects.

Investigation into Drug Smuggling

Following the recovery, the police seized the motorcycle used for smuggling and took the three individuals into custody. Initial questioning revealed that the heroin was being transported from Lalgola to the Suti area. Authorities are now working to determine if a larger network is involved in this smuggling operation.
