Hemkund Sahib Sees Record Pilgrim Rush

Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup said Hemkund Sahib has witnessed a record pilgrim rush this year. Around 3.40 lakh devotees have already visited the Sikh shrine, and the footfall is expected to rise further in the remaining 17 days of the pilgrimage season. Last year, the highest number of 2,74,000 pilgrims visited the shrine. The administration has continuously strengthened arrangements to ensure the convenience and safety of pilgrims. Meanwhile, preparations for the upcoming Haridwar Kumbh Mela are progressing at a rapid pace with a focus on infrastructure, security, and crowd control. Badrinath Dham has also recorded a historic footfall, with the number of devotees crossing 17 lakh for the first time according to the Chief Minister's Office.
