CCS Haryana Agricultural University signed an agreement with Majestic Impex from Guwahati to distribute Hisar Onion 3 seeds in Assam. Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.R. Kamboj shared that the university is continuously developing advanced crop varieties to help farmers across the country.
The agreement was signed by Neeraj Aggarwal from Majestic Impex and Dr. Rajbir Garg, Director of Research at the university. University officials said that providing reliable seeds to farmers helps increase food production and improves their financial condition.
This onion variety features copper-brown glossy red bulbs with a globular shape and high storage capacity. Dr. Rajbir Garg stated that the crop takes 130 to 140 days to mature and yields about 125 quintals per acre with minimal pest and disease attacks.
