Guwahati Police Catch Two Bangladeshi Nationals With Fake IDs

Guwahati Police apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals at the Paltan Bazar Railway Station based on a specific tip-off. The operation was conducted at the railway station by the Guwahati Police Commissionerate. The accused persons had entered India illegally through the Meghalaya border and were trying to travel to West Bengal to find work.

Fake Aadhaar Cards Recovered

Police recovered two fake Aadhaar cards and Bangladeshi currency notes from their possession. Deputy Commissioner of Police Kulendra Nath Deka stated that legal proceedings are underway under the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950, to expel them from India.
