Gauhati High Court Grants Bail To Suspended Assam DSP

The Gauhati High Court has granted bail to suspended Assam Police DSP Sandipon Garg in the Zubeen Garg death case. Justice Rajesh Mazumdar granted the bail after hearing his petition on Friday.

Details Of The Case

Sandipon Garg, who is a cousin of the late singer Zubeen Garg, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team. Special Public Prosecutor Ziaul Kamar confirmed that the court granted the bail but had not read out the full order yet.

Previous Bail Decisions

The High Court had earlier granted bail to co-singer Amritprava Mahanta in the same case. Mahanta was arrested by the Special Investigation Team of Assam Police in 2025 following questioning. The singer Zubeen Garg passed away in Singapore on September 19, 2025, in a scuba diving accident.
