Free Physical Training Center Starts for Jalpaiguri Students

A new free physical training center has been launched for students of Ambari-Falakata Chintamohan High School in Jalpaiguri to help them prepare for careers in the police and defense forces. The initiative, known as the RD Physical Training Center, officially began operations on Wednesday following the efforts of school teachers Dipankar Pal, Rajat Subhra Saha, and Debabrata Biswas.

Support for Student Development

This project has received partial financial assistance from Kalyan Debnath, who is the founder of the Jharana Debnath Foundation and currently resides in the United States. The primary goal of the center is to make students physically fit and self-reliant so they can successfully participate in various competitive examinations and recruitment processes. According to the school staff, this facility is designed to provide students with the necessary physical conditioning required for government service roles.

Focus on Fitness and Discipline

The training program focuses on improving the physical strength, overall fitness, and discipline of the students. By providing this instruction at no cost, the school aims to remove financial barriers for talented students from rural areas who aspire to join the army, defense services, or police departments. This development was reported by Hindusthan Samachar, highlighting that the center will serve as a vital resource for those preparing for future recruitment drives.
