Four people sustained injuries following a major collision involving four vehicles on the Phulbari-Ambari Teesta Canal Road on Thursday. The accident occurred near the Puti-mari area in Lakshijot Dangapara, causing significant disruption to local traffic. Emergency services were alerted immediately after the incident took place.

Details of the Multi-Vehicle Accident

According to reports from Hindusthan Samachar, the incident began when a parcel van traveling from Ambari collided head-on with a goods vehicle carrying oxygen cylinders heading toward Phulbari. The impact caused one of the vehicles to lose control and mount a passenger vehicle traveling behind it. This chain reaction resulted in a total of four vehicles being involved in the crash.

Police Response and Traffic Restoration

Upon receiving information about the accident, officers from the Canal Road Traffic Outpost arrived at the scene to manage the situation. Subsequently, the NJP police station team also reached the location to assist. The police cleared the damaged vehicles from the road to restore normal traffic flow in the area.
