The Doon Valley Public School Celebrates 80th Independence Day

The Doon Valley Public School in Deoband celebrated India's 80th Independence Day with a spirit of patriotism and pride. The event brought together students, teachers, and school management to honor the nation's freedom and pay tribute to the country's brave freedom fighters.

Flag Hoisting and Cultural Programs

The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by the school chairman, Raj Kishore Gupta, along with Principal Seema Sharma, Quality Head Archana Sharma, Vice-Principals Tanuj Kapil and Hardeep Singh, and senior faculty members. Following the flag hoisting, the national anthem and flag song were sung by everyone present. The school auditorium then hosted various cultural programs. Students from classes 3 to 8 performed plays and group dances. Additionally, students named Aradhya, Ishika, Ashwika, Krisha, and Tanishka Verma presented patriotic poems and speeches to inspire their fellow students.

Messages of National Responsibility

During the event, Chairman Raj Kishore Gupta spoke to the students about the meaning of freedom. He emphasized that independence is not just a right but also a reminder of our duties and responsibilities toward the nation. He urged everyone to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and to contribute positively to the country's unity and progress. He noted that the focus should be on how individuals can contribute to the nation's development.

Closing Remarks and Distribution of Sweets

Principal Seema Sharma concluded the program with an inspiring speech. She highlighted the glorious history of India's freedom struggle and the sacrifices made by national heroes. She encouraged the students to understand the value of freedom and to actively participate in the development of the country. The event was managed by students Asna, Dhanashree, Bani Jain, Kavya, and Prasasti. The celebration ended with the distribution of sweets to all students and attendees.
