Dilip Ghosh Targets Left Parties Over State Unrest

West Bengal Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Dilip Ghosh has publicly criticized Left-wing political parties. He alleged that these groups are responsible for creating unrest in society under the guise of protests.
Statements on Political Unrest
Speaking to reporters at Eco Park in Kolkata, the minister claimed that Leftist ideology promotes elements that disrupt social harmony. He stated that these political groups encourage activities that lead to instability across the state.
Bankura Incident and Political Connections
This criticism follows a recent incident in Indas, Bankura, where the father of a CJP supporter, Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, reportedly died following an attack on their home. Following the event, CJP representatives, including Ashutosh Ranka, visited the victim's family in Karishunda village. During this visit, they were accompanied by CPI(M) youth leaders Shatarup Ghosh and Mayukh Biswas. The joint appearance of these leaders has sparked discussions regarding the developing proximity between the CJP and Left-wing parties.
Protests and Internal Discussions
Following the death of Sheikh Mafiq, the father of the victim, the SFI called for a state-wide protest. While these movements continue, reports indicate that some sections within the CJP are concerned that aligning directly with the CPI(M) leadership could create confusion among the younger generation regarding their organization's political goals. Dilip Ghosh reiterated his stance that such movements are being used to fuel an environment of disorder in the state.
