The district office of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Jalpaiguri was allegedly attacked. State secretary of the party, Mohammad Salim, shared a post on his X handle alleging that BJP supporters attacked the office.
According to the post shared by Mohammad Salim,
some people allegedly entered the office premises like thieves around 10:30 at night and carried out the attack. Salim raised serious questions regarding the incident and condemned the attack. The messages shared state that the CPM district party office in Jalpaiguri was targeted by BJP miscreants.
The political atmosphere has heated up following this incident. However, no official reaction has come immediately from the police administration or the BJP regarding the attack and the allegations.
