Congress Organizes Membership Drive in Islampur Rangmang

The Islampur Block Congress held a कार्यकर्ता बैठक (worker meeting) and a joining program at the Rangmang Bazaar area under the Rangmang-1 Gram Panchayat on Sunday. A large number of party workers and supporters attended the event to participate in the proceedings.

New Members Join Congress Party

During the event, approximately 50 families joined the Congress party after leaving their previous political affiliations. Party leaders welcomed the new members and officially handed over the party flag to them as a gesture of induction into the organization.

Formation of New Committee

As part of the organizational process, a new Rangmang-1 Gram Panchayat Congress committee was established during the meeting. Mohammad Chatu was appointed as the president of this new committee. Following the appointment, the newly selected office bearers were formally presented with their certificates by the senior party leadership.

Presence of Party Leaders

Several senior leaders were present to oversee the proceedings and address the gathering. Notable attendees included District Congress Executive Committee President Ashok Ray, Islampur Block Congress President Harun Rashid, and Women Block Congress President Firoza Begum. The leaders stated that this joining program is intended to strengthen the party organization in the region and facilitate future activities regarding public issues.
