Central Forces Deployed In West Bengal For Festive Safety

The central government has sent 50 additional companies of central paramilitary forces to West Bengal to strengthen law and order and ensure tight security during upcoming festivals. With this new deployment, the total number of central forces in the state has reached nearly 100 companies.

Arrival At Asansol Station

Administrative sources confirmed that six companies of central forces reached the Asansol Railway Station on Sunday night around eight o'clock. These security personnel will be deployed in various sensitive areas across the state.

Forces And Duties

The new deployment includes personnel from the BSF, CRPF, and SSB. Their primary duties include patrolling and conducting route marches in sensitive areas, keeping a close eye on suspicious activities, and working together with the local police to prevent any form of unrest.

Focus On Durga Puja

Security arrangements are being specially strengthened keeping the upcoming Durga Puja festival in mind. Controlling large crowds and ensuring the safety of common people are key challenges for the administration as huge numbers of people come out on the streets during the festival.
