BSF Celebrates Independence Day at Gede Border Camp

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with events at the BSF 32nd Battalion camp located at the Gede India-Bangladesh border in Nadia district. A large number of local residents gathered at the camp premises to witness the special programs organized throughout the day.

Flag Hoisting and BSF Demonstrations

The event began with the hoisting of the national flag by 32nd Battalion CO Sujeet Kumar. Following the ceremony, the BSF organized an exhibition of weapons and a special dog show for the public. The skills and stunts performed by the trained BSF dogs were a major attraction for the visitors who traveled from various distant areas to attend the program.

Cultural Programs and Public Participation

Students from local schools performed patriotic songs and dances as part of the celebration. The event saw active participation from both children and local residents, reflecting a spirit of patriotism. This rare occasion allowed the public to enter the BSF camp premises, which are usually restricted, leading to high enthusiasm among the attendees.
