BJP Takes Control of Panikauri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj
The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken control of the Panikauri gram panchayat in Rajganj after a new board was formed on Wednesday in the presence of block development office officials.
Mankhushi Choudhary took charge as the pradhan and Thabau Rai took charge as the up-pradhan. In the 2023 panchayat elections, the Trinamool Congress won 12 seats and the BJP won 10 seats out of the total 22 seats in this gram panchayat. A total of 18 members were present during the new board formation on Wednesday.
Resignation and Board Formation
The former gram panchayat pradhan resigned from the post last month following political changes in the state. This led to the start of the process for forming a new board, which was completed on Wednesday with administrative officials present.
Celebrations by Party Supporters
BJP workers and supporters celebrated after both the pradhan and up-pradhan posts went to the party. Supporters took out a victory procession with band music, applied saffron color to each other, and raised slogans.
