BJP Kisan Morcha Inspects Fertilizer Shops in Jalpaiguri

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha conducted a campaign against the alleged black marketing of fertilizers in the Rajganj assembly constituency of Jalpaiguri district. Party members visited Belakoba Battala Bazar on Tuesday to inspect local shops and verify stock records. The inspection was led by Nakul Das, the president of the BJP Jalpaiguri District Kisan Morcha, along with other party leaders.

Details of the Shop Inspections

During the visit, the BJP leaders examined various fertilizer shops to check their inventory, sales records, and official account books. The party members alleged that some shop owners were claiming to have no stock while keeping large quantities of fertilizer hidden in their warehouses. The team claimed that they found discrepancies between the actual stock present in the warehouses and the records maintained in the shop registers during their inspection of the documents.

Allegations Regarding Fertilizer Sales

According to the party representatives, several shops displayed boards stating that no stock was available for farmers, despite the suspected presence of fertilizer in their storage facilities. Nakul Das stated that there were clear differences between the figures listed in the store registers and the actual physical stock found on the premises. The campaign was conducted to address concerns regarding the availability of fertilizers for local farmers in the region.

Warning Issued by Kisan Morcha

Following the inspection, the BJP Kisan Morcha issued a warning regarding the distribution of agricultural supplies in the area. The organization stated that the black marketing of fertilizers would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
