West Bengal rural development minister Dilip Ghosh shared the details of government work as the BJP government completed 100 days in the state. He posted a video on social media on Sunday morning to list the achievements of the first 100 days.
The government took important steps for panchayats, housing, employment, cleanliness, and infrastructure development during this period. Out of 18 lakh incomplete houses, the second installment of 60,000 rupees was sent to the bank accounts of 10 lakh 20 thousand beneficiaries. A survey of more than 38 lakh homes has been completed under the Awas Plus survey.
Efforts are being made to increase jobs and income for common people through various schemes, linking each housing scheme home with 90 days of labor work. This can provide up to 27,000 rupees of extra income to the related families. With the help of the panchayat, rural development, and forest departments, a target has been set to plant more than 40 lakh trees, while toilet construction work in villages is also speeding up. Unused buildings, sheds, godowns, and shops are being repaired and rented out again.
