Police in Belakoba conducted a major inspection drive at local hotels, sweet shops, and restaurants on Tuesday to ensure proper food safety rules. The special drive was led by police station in-charge Arijit Kundu. During the inspection, the police team checked various sweet shops, eateries, and fast-food stores in the area.
Officers checked the expiry dates of various food items and ingredients available in the shops. The quality of materials used for cooking food was also thoroughly examined during the drive.
Police inspected the cleanliness and hygienic environment inside the shops and hotel premises. Business owners were strictly instructed to follow food safety rules, avoid using expired food items, and maintain proper cleanliness in their shops. Officials stated that following these rules is necessary to provide safe and quality food to the people.
