Bagdogra Airport Cleans Up in New Drive

A special cleanliness drive and tree plantation program took place at the Bagdogra Airport campus under the Seva Sankalp campaign. State Minister for Panchayat, Shantanu Pramanik, and State Minister for Finance and Transport, Anandamoy Barman, were present at the event.

Cleanliness Drive at Airport

Minister Shantanu Pramanik took part by watering plants and cleaning the airport premises with a broom. He stated that cleanliness is given special importance during the month-long Seva Sankalp program held across the country for the Prime Minister's birthday.

Plans for Waste Management

The joint effort was organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department along with the Airport Authority. The minister also announced plans to start waste processing centers in all state panchayats in the coming days, followed by similar systems in big cities.
