Assam Waives Land Fee For Lovlina Boxing Academy

The Assam Cabinet approved the waiver of the settlement premium for land allotted to the Lovlina Boxing Academy at a nominal rate of Rs 1. This decision was taken to support sports development and encourage boxing in the state.

Land Details For The Academy

The waiver covers land measuring more than 3 bighas situated at Hudumpur village under Chayani Mouza in Palashbari Revenue Circle. The settlement for this land was approved at a nominal rate of One Rupee only.

Reason For The Decision

The state government made this move to honour the achievements and contributions of Olympic medalist Lovlina Borgohain to Indian sports. The decision also formed part of a 76-point resolution expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his years of public service.
