Assam Police Seize Drugs Worth 28 Crore In Cachar Operation

Police and Assam Rifles conducted a joint operation in Cachar district of Assam resulting in the seizure of narcotics worth 28 crore rupees. Three suspected drug smugglers were arrested during this mission. The operation was carried out as part of an ongoing drive against drug networks in the state.

Details of Seized Narcotics

During the joint search, the security forces recovered 1.1 lakh Yaba tablets and 223 grams of heroin. The total market value of the confiscated drugs is estimated at 28 crore rupees. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the development through a social media post and stated that strict legal action against drug mafias continues across the state.
