The National Democratic Alliance has stepped up its grassroots electioneering across all eight Assembly segments for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election in support of candidate Debashis Sharma.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed 15 massive public meetings covering every Assembly segment under the parliamentary constituency. According to a statement issued by BJP Media In-charge Dilip Kumar Sarma, a galaxy of senior leaders and star campaigners addressed over 1,100 meetings across the constituency. Key campaigners included Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State BJP President Dilip Saikia, and AGP President Atul Bora, along with several state cabinet ministers.
Booth committees across all 2,309 polling booths will conduct simultaneous foot marches starting at 11:00 AM on the final day of campaigning, involving party workers and local voters.
The party organized 25 Mandal Committees across Nagaon and Morigaon districts to carry out extensive door-to-door visits and over 5,000 courtyard meetings. Different wings of the BJP independently conducted more than 9,500 courtyard meetings across the constituency to mobilize voters ahead of the silence period.
