Health and Wellness Camps were organised at two locations in the Kamrup Metropolitan District as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The camp at the Chandrapur Development Block Office was inaugurated by Tapan Das, MLA, Dimoria LAC. Monjit Borkakoti, District Development Commissioner, Kamrup Metro, visited the camp to review healthcare services.
Another camp took place at the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Auditorium under the North Guwahati Municipal Board. Hemanta Choudhury, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Assam, visited this site to check the services.
Specialist doctors provided services in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, ENT, Dental, and AYUSH at both locations.
Screening for Non-Communicable Diseases, TB, and HIV was also conducted alongside awareness sessions on Yoga, Mental Health, Family Planning, Nutrition, Healthy Lifestyle, and Disease Prevention.
Other services included AB-PMJAY card registration and e-KYC under Ayushman Bharat, Birth and Death Registration, UDID certification for persons with disabilities, and laboratory tests.
Free medicines were distributed and patients needing advanced care were sent to higher health facilities, with 493 people using the Chandrapur camp and 502 using the North Guwahati camp.
