Assam Govt Running On Loans Claims Senior Congress Leader

Senior Congress leader Abdul Khaleque alleged on Sunday that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has failed to develop the state and the government is functioning by taking continuous loans.

Addressing a press conference at Kshirod Bhawan in Morigaon, Khaleque stated that the government has failed to meet the expectations of tribal communities and accused the administration of poor performance over the past six months. He also remembered past Congress leaders who built the organisational base in the district.

By-Election and Political Criticisms

Khaleque criticized the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election, claiming it was forced upon the public after the previous MP joined the BJP. He also accused the ruling party of various political strategies and urged opposition unity during the electoral process.
