Assam Government Distributes 439 New Appointment Letters

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed appointment letters to 439 candidates for different departments at a programme held in Guwahati. The event took place at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra on Sunday, continuing the state government recruitment process.

Departments Receiving New Appointments

The appointment letters were given for various posts in the Cooperation, Labour Welfare, Public Health Engineering and Water Resources departments. With this recent distribution, the total number of government appointments under the two terms of the State Government has reached 1,65,749. Chief Minister Dr Sarma extended his congratulations to all the candidates, their parents, and guardians who attended the event.

Bank and Medical Sector Updates

The Assam Co-operative Apex Bank has been fully managed through information technology and artificial intelligence, securing recognition as a scheduled bank. A total of 175 posts have been filled in the bank today. Meanwhile, 12 Insurance Medical Officers were appointed to serve dispensaries and hospitals under the Employees State Insurance scheme. Additionally, 338 appointments have been made in the Labour Welfare Department over the past five years.

Infrastructure and Engineering Appointments

A total of 184 Junior Engineers have been appointed to the Public Health Engineering Department. Furthermore, 52 Assistant Engineers and 16 Junior Engineers were appointed to the Water Resources Department. The Chief Minister noted that 2,815 appointments have been made in the Water Resources Department over the past five years to support ongoing public infrastructure work.
