A major fire broke out at two warehouses in North Lakhimpur on Tuesday evening, destroying stored goods including jute shoes and tarpaulins.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 pm in Ward No. 13 along the Betmahal-Gurudwara Road.
Four fire tenders rushed to the location and successfully brought the blaze under control.
The warehouses stored items such as slippers, footwear, fishing nets, mesh, and tarpaulins.
An employee stated that they received a phone call about the fire and arrived to find the premises completely gutted.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and
no casualties have been reported so far.
