Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting with district officials in Guwahati to check preparations for Khel Maharan 3.0 and Mission Basundhara 4.0. The meeting focused on sports events, land services, and industrial land development across the state.
The Chief Minister told all District Commissioners to make sure the sporting event runs smoothly.
Competitions will start at the village level on November 7. Districts must speed up participant registrations to get more people to join. This year includes a sports festival for children under 12 years old to find new talent and provide training with monthly stipends. State-level events will take place in Guwahati with over 9,800 athletes.
The meeting reviewed the progress of workshops and outreach programs for land services.
The Revenue Department must finish consultations quickly and fix old unresolved land cases from past editions. Officials were told to make the land services simpler for citizens. The meeting also checked the status of land patta distribution for tea garden residents.
The Chief Minister looked at revenue issues for industrial estates to help bring in more investments.
District Commissioners must find suitable land to create a large industrial land bank. Officials need to look for unused government land, encroached land, and land that can be saved through conservation to support future industrial projects.
