Assam CM Donates Blood On Zubeen Garg Death Anniversary

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and state ministers donated blood at a special camp held on the first death anniversary of singer Zubeen Garg. The Bharatiya Janata Party Assam Pradesh organised these blood donation camps across the state to pay tribute to the artist through humanitarian service. The main event took place at the BJP state headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, in Basistha, Guwahati.

Chief Minister Leads Blood Donation Drive

Chief Minister Sarma personally donated blood at the Guwahati camp. He appealed to the public to remember Zubeen Garg through service to humanity rather than songs alone. He recalled his personal association with the late singer and stated that Zubeen Garg's contribution to the cultural and social life of Assam will always be remembered. State ministers Ashok Singhal and Bimal Borah also participated and donated blood at the camp.

Statewide Blood Collection Total

According to a press statement by BJP Assam Pradesh spokesperson Manas Sarania, a total of 1,869 units of blood were collected through camps organised across Assam. Out of this total, 116 units of blood were collected at the Guwahati headquarters camp. Party leaders, workers, and well-wishers took part in the statewide programme to offer their tributes and help save lives.
