Assam CM Attends Viksit Bharat Finance Meet in New Delhi

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended a two-day national conference on financing India's development in New Delhi. The conference was organised by the Ministry of Finance and the Government of India at Bharat Mandapam.
Conference Focus on Financial Pathways
Chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the meeting brought together leaders from several States and Union Territories. The discussions focused on public investment, private capital mobilisation, macroeconomic growth, agricultural transformation, and renewable energy to support sustainable development in Assam and other States.
Centre and State Coordination
Speakers highlighted that achieving Viksit Bharat 2047 requires strong fiscal coordination and partnerships between the Centre and the States. Department of Economic Affairs Secretary Anuradha Thakur and former 15th Finance Commission Chairman NK Singh also shared views on bridging investment gaps and raising the gross domestic savings rate.
