Assam BJP Holds Protest Rally In Guwahati Against Congress

The Assam State BJP organised a statewide Jan Jagaran procession in Guwahati against the Congress party and the INDIA bloc. The ruling party accused the opposition of trying to create political instability by opposing the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The campaign aims to build public support against the opposition parties over their stand on this revision exercise.

Protest Details And Public Participation

Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia said that a large number of people, including youth, women, and members of civil society, took part in the demonstration. Saikia stated that the streets of Guwahati were packed with citizens standing up for the nation's interests and opposing forces working against the country. He alleged that the public had recognised the political agenda and propaganda of the Congress party.

Criticism Of Opposition Leaders

Saikia claimed that voters across Assam and the nation have repeatedly rejected Rahul Gandhi and the Congress. The Jan Jagaran procession is a key part of the Assam BJP's statewide campaign against the opposition over the voter list revision. While the BJP is defending the revision process, the opposition's stance has led to ongoing political conflict between the parties.
